Each year welcomes a new class of inductees.They have been nominated by the community and voted on by the members of the Riverside Sport Hall of Fame for induction. Additonally, the Hall of Fame recognizes individuals from Riverside who have reached a level of achievement beyond all others as an athlete, coach or contributor, but have not been selected for induction to the Hall of Fame. Their names are engraved on the Wall of Distinction. The Hall of Fame has developed two other annual awards, recognizing individuals in the community that exemplify certain ideals of character and leadership. The first is the Presidents Award given to an individual who has shown exceptional qualities of self-worth, persistence and courage in their lives. The second is the Chuck Kane Leadership Award. This individual, through example has developed principal centered leadership, increasing productivity and quality of work while maintaining professional and personal relationships.
