Bud & Claudia Luppino

Each year, the Riverside Sport Hall of Fame recognizes outstanding individuals who have made substantial community contributions over an extended period of time. Two such people are Bud and Claudia Luppino.

Bud spent the majority of his military career stationed at March Air Force Base. He said that service taught him how to relate with people of different backgrounds and different personalities. “The first week I was out, Claudia asked me if I was going to look for a job. She said ‘being on vacation’ was not a good excuse. So, I put on my suit and went – and I’ve been working in the tire industry ever since.”

Bud opened his tire dealership in 1995. Since then, Bud’s Tire & Wheels has been providing the Riverside community with unprecedented expertise and service. What Bud and Claudia have done through their company has truly been noteworthy. Some of the community organizations to which they have volunteered time and dollars to are the Riverside Police Foundation, the American Diabetes Foundation, Kiwanis Club and the Boy Scouts of America.

Awards have followed for these dedicated people:

• 2014 – Humanitarian Dealer of the Year by industry professionals;
• 2015 – Community Partner Award based on the countless hours supporting community organizations by the Luppino family and employees;
• 2016 – Law Enforcement Community Partner of The Year;
• 2017 – Heroes for Heroes Award for work on behalf of military veterans;
• 2018 – Dancing with the Stars winners benefitting Janet Goeske Foundation;
• 2018 – California Baptist University Athletics Corporate Sponsor of The Year  for support of the basketball, soccer and baseball programs. Bud and Claudia started the Veterans Recognition program at basketball games.  
• 2019 – Title Sponsor of the Super Bowl Sunday Annual Golf Tournament at General Old Golf Course, raising money for the Riverside National Cemetery.
